Ms. González Montes graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. At the beginning of her career she practiced several areas of law, including family and civil law. Ms. González Montes has been practicing immigration law for almost fifteen years in Florida and Texas, both in the private and non-profit sectors. In Texas she provided legal services to women, children and men in several immigration detention centers.

 

Committed with the notion of community service, Ms. González Montes has volunteered for several community based organizations in Texas and Florida, offering pro bono assistance to the immigrant community. She enjoys public speaking and has offered multiple presentations about immigration issues at immigration detention centers and community events.
